In the time when totalitarian and authoritarian
regimes like China were arresting
doctors who were trying to tell the truth, or like Iran refusing to impose
quarantines in areas affected by the outbreak saying that quarantines are
old-fashioned, it is crucial to have a good reliable source. Johns
Hopkins CSSE is the best.
The Iranian data is suspect.
There were 338 reported confirmed cases and 34 deaths which makes Iran’s mortality rate of 10.05 percent out of
sync with the rest of the world.
