Kerry, Netanyahu call ‘cut off,’ is not renewed

A call between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Secretary of State John Kerry was disconnected on Sunday, and the two haven’t spoken since, according to various media reports, giving rise to media speculation on the strained state of diplomatic ties between Jerusalem and Washington.

 “Their phone call was cut off,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said at a briefing Tuesday, citing a “communications issue.”

Asked by one reporter if Netanyahu had hung up on Kerry in anger, she responded: “Sometimes calls get cut off. You — it was a brief call, is what I’m trying to convey. There was nothing… There was nothing that interesting about it, no. That was not the case. That was not the case.”

British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt aboard a warship off the coast of Newfoundland during the Atlantic Conference. The conference took place from August 9-12, 1941, and resulted in the Atlantic Charter, a joint proclamation by the United States and Britain declaring that they were fighting the Axis powers to "ensure life, liberty, independence and religious freedom and to preserve the rights of man and justice."

The Atlantic Charter served as a foundation stone for the later establishment of the United Nations, setting forth several principles for the nations of the world, including -- the renunciation of all aggression, right to self-government, access to raw materials, freedom from want and fear, freedom of the seas, and disarmament of aggressor nations.

The United Nations slammed Israel for possibly committing war crimes in its fight against Hamas — and then backed that accusation by suggesting the Jewish nation ought to be sharing its Iron Dome defensive technology with the very terror group it’s fighting.

U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay said to members of the media at an “emergency” meeting of the U.N. Human Rights Council that Israel was falling short in its duty to protect citizens in the Gaza Strip from getting killed by its rockets.

“There is a strong possibility that international law has been violated, in a manner that could amount to war crimes,” she said, Breitbart reported.

The U.N. group listed among its reasons for making that claim that Israel outright refused to share its Iron Dome with the “governing authority” of Gaza — which is Hamas, Breitbart reported. Ms. Pillay also condemned the United States for helping to fund the Iron Dome for Israel, but not granting any such accommodations to those in Gaza.

From the lofty ideas of Churchill and FDR  on the USS Augusta,  we have reached the imbecility of the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay.  

The UN has to be abolished.  Now!  Its further existence is an affront to our civilization. Pillay's  statement is in fact  a reductio ad absurdum mathematical  proof that the UN should not exist!

Just a suggestion...

For those not living in Israel the last few seconds in the video need a clarification. All of Israel is divided into rocket target areas and when there is a Hamas rocket launched into that area the smartphones alert citizens of an impending attack with a Code Red and the name and number of the area under attack. This is also displayed on all live television channels.

Enough with the cease-fires! We are dealing with a totally different ethical system!

Hamas used the latest cease-fire to kill and kidnap Israeli soldiers.

Are we crazy? Why does Israel accept these ceasefires which Hamas exploits to kill and kidnap? Why does not Israel understand that it is dealing with an ethical system that it totally alien to ours? Islamic concept of cease-fire is a hudna or a  tahdiah which can be breached the minute Muslims feel that they are militarily superior. Islamic concept of peace assumes submission to Islam. Taqiyya  is lying to promote Islam. The West needs some basic education on whom we are dealing with.
