On Iran, the American political system is no match for the cowardice of men

How appalling! How disgusting! We are sliding towards nuclear war because many Democrats do not have the courage to confront Obama's insane Iran Deal

Former New York City mayor addresses Jerusalem Post Annual Conference, speaks out against emerging Iran deal.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani spoke at the Jerusalem Post Annual Conference on Sunday, saying that many Democrats, like their Republican counterparts, are against the emerging nuclear deal with Iran but are afraid to say it and go against the policies of Democratic President Barack Obama.

Giuliani spoke of the political differences between the administration in Washington and the position of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He said that most Americans were closer to the people of Israel's views than they were to Obama's views.

The one-time Republican presidential hopeful warned against the emerging nuclear deal with Iran. "You would have to be stupid not to be worried by a nuclear Iran," run by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who is dedicated to Israel's destruction, Giuliani said.

"We went through these negotiations with Iran in the earlier part of this decade, and they cheated for three years and were caught three times cheating," he said, adding that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani bragged about cheating in nuclear negotiations in his autobiography. "There is no reason for Iran to have peaceful use of nuclear power, they have plenty of energy. You have to be naive to think they want nuclear power for peaceful uses," he said.

Giuliani contended that Iran is a much more serious problem than Islamic State (ISIS).

"I never want us to take our eye off of Iran. Islamic State is a short-term threat, which we could eradicate if our approach was different," he said.

Iran, however is a much greater threat, Giuliani said, reiterating Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's refrain that Iran is "the greatest supporter of terror in the world."

He said that Iran remains "dedicated to the elimination of Israel" and supports jihadists who want to eliminate Christianity.

He rejected the idea that Iran had reformed and become more moderate under President Hassan Rouhani."They are run by a dictator. There are more executions today than there were under Ahmadinejad," he stated.

Giuliani said of the Iran deal that "you should make agreements with those that you trust, not those that you mistrust."
